THE BEST SKUNK REMEDY

Touch wood - have not needed this yet but have had it on hand for many years just in case!  My friend Stephie has had numerous occasions to use it with her flock of Golden Retrievers and swears it is the best solution to the problem of skunked dogs.

8 oz. bottle of Hydrogen Peroxide (3% solution)
4 oz. box of baking soda
2 scoops of Oxyclean powder
1 tsp. dish soap
1 gallon of warm water

Mix everything together in a pail.  Stir thoroughly to dissolve baking soda.  Apply to a dry dog or cat.  Use a hand towel to soak the animal completely with the solution from head to tail.  Avoid the eyes.

Leave it on for at least one hour.  Towel off the excess.  Do not rinse.

Repeat the following day if necessary.  This doesn't harm the animal's coat in any way.

This recipe is enough for two large dogs.  Easy to keep items on hand for at least one or two uses.
